Environmental Fuel System (EFS)

The U.S. Patent Pending Environmental Fuel System (EFS) utilizes a circuit board fluid level sensor to address the EPA fuel gun shut off requirement.  The product is unique in that it requires no significant vessel design changes and maintains the vented system desired on boats.

The EFS is comprised of three main components: 1) the EFS Control Unit, 2) The EFS Fuel Shut Off Valve, and 3) the EFS Backsplash Preventer.  Additional components for a full EPA certified system include a carbon canister and compliant fuel take.

Simplified Installation

Installation of the EFS is incredibly simple.  The EFS can be installed in 10-15 minutes on a typical boat production line and requires no additional hoses, engineering, or boat design changes.  Because of its simplicity no additional inspection areas are required for the system as well.

Auto Fuel Shut Off

The primary objective of the EFS was to achieve automatic fuel shut of with no back splash or spillage reliably under variable environmental conditions.  Because our system does not require any pressurization of the fuel tank to achieve fuel shut off, it performs reliably under any condition or fuel temperature.

SMART Fuel Management

The brains of the EFS is the EFS Controller which contains a circuit board for smart fuel management.  The EFS Controller replaces a typical mechanical fuel sending unit.

Anti-Slosh Gauge Output

When making decisions to address new EPA and ABYC requirements we wanted to offer our customers additional features.  Our EFS Control unit is an electronically controlled fuel sending unit that measures fuel level with no mechanical parts.  What this means to boat users is that fuel gauges  will read extremely accurate and will not slosh back and fort under typical boating conditions making it difficult to know fuel levels.
